The No. 4 Butler Grizzlies avenged their only loss of the season with a dominant 90–46 win over the Garden City Broncbusters on Wednesday night.

Back on December 3, then–No. 11 Butler fell to Garden City 71–67 in overtime—their lone blemish on an otherwise stellar season. This time, the Grizzlies made sure there would be no sweep, controlling the game from start to finish inside the Power Plant.

In the first meeting, Butler struggled against Garden City's full‑court pressure. On Wednesday, the Grizzlies handled it with poise and turned the tables.

Butler jumped out to a 23–9 lead after the first quarter and outscored the Broncbusters 21–8 in the second to take a commanding 44–17 advantage into halftime. The Grizzlies shot 16‑for‑35 (45.7 percent) in the opening half while forcing 11 Garden City turnovers.

The momentum never slowed. Butler poured in 46 more points after the break, cruising to the 44‑point victory.

Four Grizzlies reached double figures. Mya Mayberry led the way with 19 points, marking her fourth straight game in double digits. Sophomore Kenzie Galliart delivered one of her best performances of the season with an 18‑point, 11‑rebound double‑double, tying her season high in scoring. Keegan Yarick added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Jalyiah Manuel provided a spark off the bench with 12 points and 11 boards.

Butler shot 32‑for‑62 (51.6 percent) for the game and dominated the glass, outrebounding Garden City 50–20. The Broncbusters were held to 33.3 percent shooting and committed 19 turnovers, leading to 27 Butler points.

With the win—and No. 3 Dodge City's loss to Colby—the Grizzlies now sit alone atop the Jayhawk Conference standings. Butler improves to 22–1 overall and 16–1 in league play. Garden City drops to 14–7 (9–7).

Next up: The Grizzlies are off Saturday before returning to action next Wednesday at Independence at 5:30 p.m.
