Reset during spring break

Spring break is an ideal time to visit and travel to different places as there are many activities and eventful things can be enjoyed. Many take spring break trips, or even just relax and unwind on this week-long break. As Butler CC students prepare for spring break, they are finishing up taking tests, maybe even finals, finishing assignments and more. This is the spring break right before graduation for many at a community college or university even. Travel plans vary from going to somewhere tropical and hot like the beach in Florida or even South Padre Island Texas, which is a very popular spring break destination.  

Many can go on a road trip to explore national parks, historical sites and more. Hiking, camping or even try a new adventure. Spring break can be a time to take time for yourself, read a book, try yoga, meditate or book a spa trips for a mental reset. Write, take photos, paint or even learn an instrument. Take a break from social media and focus on mindfulness.  

Catch up with old friends, family and meet new people while on spring break. Many can finally settle down from all the stress and overload of schoolwork and college. While some students prioritize relaxation, others are using the time for professional or volunteer opportunities. Many colleges offer alternative spring break programs focused on community service.  

Not all students are hitting the road this spring break. Some are just opting for a more low-key spring break by exploring their own cities, catching up on books or taking a break from technology. Wellness retreats, yoga getaways, and digital detoxes are becoming attractive options for students looking to recharge before the final stretch of the semester. Spring break can be different for everyone, whether that is taking a “break” from everything and the world around them or going on a vacation, maybe even both.
