Arktos Moving Images features video productions from Butler Community College’s student creators. Combining traditional broadcast television formats with short films and animation, most productions featured are produced through the Mass Communications and Digital Media degree programs at El Dorado and Andover.
Campus Edge, Butler’s video magazine show, celebrates more than 20 continuous years of episodes with the Fall 2024 semester. Production recently concluded on a new episode of the show, featuring hosts Tess Hargrove and Brentyn Caselman. Stories produced by students in the Mass Communication program examined student services and clubs on the El Dorado campus, along with community fundraisers and museums in the Butler community.
“Our students get a great hands-on experience through our various shows, “says Mass Communication Chair Dr. Keith West. “While most university students don’t get to create content until their second or third year on campus, Butler students are producing material their first semester.”
Campus Edge production team for Fall 2024 includes Treyton Bassett, Brentyn Caselman, Maliki Coleman, Alex Easley, Rhen Goin, Tess Hargrove, Lanni Holdt, and Andrew Wiele. Everyone on the production team are reporters producing individual stories, while each take show production roles in rotation for each episode.
