A Note from the President (Fall 2025)

College president Tamara Daniel addresses Butler.

Tamara Daniel

Dear Grizzlies,

Welcome to a new school year at Butler Community College. I am so glad you are here. Whether this is your first semester or you are returning to continue your journey, this is the perfect time to set new goals, meet new people, and explore
new possibilities.

Butler is here to help you achieve your goals, whether that means preparing for a great job as soon as possible or transferring to a university to continue your studies. Our outstanding faculty and staff are here to support you every step of the way and are dedicated to helping you succeed.

You are part of a community that values curiosity, creativity, and connection, and I hope you feel that from the moment you arrive.

As we move through this school year, we are also looking ahead to an exciting milestone, Butler’s 100th anniversary in 2026. Our centennial theme, ‘More Than a Place,’ reminds us that Butler is about more than classrooms and degrees. It is a community of people who believe in learning, leadership, and lifting one another up.

This year, I encourage you to make the most of your Butler experience. Get involved, meet new people, and try something that pushes you outside your comfort zone. Every class, event, and opportunity has the potential to teach you something new about yourself. The friendships and memories you build here will become part of the story that makes Butler such a
special place.

I am honored to serve as your president and excited to see all that you will accomplish this year. I hope to have the chance to meet and talk with many of you throughout the semester and to hear about your goals, ideas, and experiences at Butler.

Dr. Tamara Daniel

President

Butler Community College
