End of the journey at Butler CC

As college students near the end of their time at Butler CC, many are transferring to other colleges. Time really does fly. It is a time to solidify the path and explore many opportunities.

Take control of the academic journey. At this point, students are done with their general education courses so it’s time to think about the major and minor classes. Keep in touch with advisers to be certain, know precisely what courses make a particular amount and how long it will take to complete the degree. Take more specialized classes in the area of the University that you intend to attend and build up your preliminary education for post high school.

Get involved in clubs and organizations; However, Butler CC provides a lot of clubs and organizations that will let students bond and develop new hobbies. Try to participate in extracurricular activities like a sports club, a volunteering organization or a student government. Find a group that is interesting and want to be part of and take responsibility to learn skills that will benefit in the future.

College years are a great time to establish good working relationships with fellow students, college and other professionals. Go to campus activities, listen to the guest lecturer and look for internships and jobs as well. Make friends and keep a track of individuals who could be beneficial.

Prepare for post-graduate life, begin to look for occupations that may interest them as well as the services offered by Butler CC Career Center. Join professional associations, participate in job forums, seminars and fairs. And other related events to scout and practice for interviews. In case students are contemplating a higher education, search and apply to graduate schools in the course of choice.

Have fun and create lasting memories; obviously college is a great time for students’ personalities and for acquiring new experience. Remember to slow down and have fun with friends, take a break to enjoy and create awesome memories. Take time to travel to other colleges, participating in events within the campus.

Therefore, for the remaining two years of education at Butler Community College, what students should do is study hard and participate in other activities. Seize the day, make the most of the chances, still, those chances help to construct a good future. And what is more important, students have only two years at a community college, so let’s make them unforgettable and make more at the next college or path that is chosen next.
