On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Butler Community College (BCC) hosted an open forum for the position of executive vice president of Academics (EVPA). College employees and students assembled at the Welcome Center in welcoming a candidate for the EVPA role. Marc Malone, discussed leadership, institutional values and quality of education at Butler.

Professor of Business Technology, Lisa Schmidt, who has taught at Butler for 21 years and is in her 22nd year, has experienced firsthand the effects of technology on education. Having taught for a total of 30 years, she said there is a night-and-day difference from when she was a student to today.
Theatre events at Butler CC over the summer have more to do with maintaining and fixing performance space issues. A lot of cleaning and maintenance happens on light fixtures, sound monitors, and backstage/ storage areas.
