The Butler Grizzlies maintained their two-game winning streak as they defeated the Dodge City Conquistadors on Wednesday, Oct. 16. A necessary win brought their overall record back to .500 (14-14): a clear domination (3-1) every set except for the second one (25-15, 21-25, 25-15 and 25-15).
One year later, various Butler CC offices have created podcasts of their own. Last year, the Butler CC campuses on both El Dorado and Andover have purchased a podcasting studio and equipment for students and employees to use. At Butler CC, two podcast series are leading the way in promoting digital literacy and connecting the community. The first is “For Your Reference”, a Butler CC Libraries and Archives podcast hosted by Kara Price, access and instructor librarian. They have posted three episodes since spring 2024, which shine a spotlight on members of the Butler CC who share their personal and professional stories. The other one is “Bear Tracks”, the podcast of the Foundation Department hosted by Hayley Hobbs, director of Donor Relation. It provides a platform for Butler alumni to reflect on their journeys post-graduation, serving as both an inspirational resource and an oral history project.
At Butler CC, classes began to start for many on Monday, August 19. The college welcomed many students, both new and returning. The diversity of Butler’s student body was on full display with students from various backgrounds and ages.
Freshman Wensheng Cheng, who also goes by Rosie, is from China. Rosie was inspired by the Mass Communications department, specifically the radio/television program because it is student led.
In their season opener at BG Products Stadium, the Butler Grizzlies battled Seminole State Raiders to a 1-1 draw in a match that showcased both teams' determination and grit.
