Students in the Butler CC Agriculture Department traded livestock and lecture halls for cutting boards and kitchen creativity during the department’s annual “Chopped” competition.
This afternoon, Marc Malone, executive vice president of Academics (EVPA), notified the Butler CC campus that Canvas began to experience outages. He along with Christina Byram, vice president of Digital Transformation, explained that Education Technology (EdTech) are monitoring the situation and will notify the campus community when Canvas has resumed to normal.
In the big 2026 of the 21st century, while women are trying to recover as best as they can, from the respect, dignity and basic human rights that they were stripped for years, the taboo of female genital mutilation is still persistent.

Wednesday, Oct. 14 has been designated the Charlie Kirk Day of Remembrance, giving a day to acknowledge the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, a Republican debater and activist who was assassinated on Wednesday, Sept. 10 during an event he was hosing at Utah State University.
Balancing academic and sports means trying to do well in school while also giving your best in your sport. For student athletes, it’s not just about going to class or showing up for practice. It’s about managing time, staying focused and making sure neither schoolwork nor training suffers.

Psi Theta Kappa Honors Society (PTK) held the 2026 Heartland Regional Convention at Johnson County Community College, Friday, Feb 20 through Sunday, Feb. 22. Butler Community College’s (Butler CC) Alpha Phi Alpha chapter advisor, alumni and members attended, presented and received multiple awards for their accomplishments, contributions and talent over the last year.
