A range of new films appears in the market every year. The Chosen: Last Supper represents an exciting new movie production that launched on March 28. The film shows Jesus making his way through the holy city in order to stop temple corruption. The film covers episodes 1 and 2 which belong to Season 5 of "The Chosen" television series. Written screenings and booked theater seats for this movie exist through Fandango and the official website. In the United States and Canada the theatrical premiere of The Chosen: Last Supper (Season 5) started on Wednesday, March 27. The Chosen's first installment released March 27 with episodes 1–2 following this initial release (Thursday, April 3 saw the delivery of Episodes 3-5) and finally episodes 6-8 debuted on Thursday, April 10 marking the end of the season. Development and Season 1 Production: Started around 2018. Season 4 began its run in early 2024 as the production stage preceding the depiction of the Last Supper. Therefore, it required approximately six years until the portrayal of the Last Supper within the series. 

Butler Community College’s instrumental concert, held on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, was a success, thanks in part to strong community support and a large turnout of performers’ families.

Tamara Daniel has been selected to become Butler's next president. She will officially be in office on Monday, June 23. Dr. Daniel comes to Butler with more than 25 years of leadership experience in the community college sector where, as a champion of student success, workforce development and institutional innovation, she has continuously pushed for improvement.

At many colleges, college athletes in Division I programs create the strongest beats in campus life. Throughout history college sports have led students to show greater school pride and bond with each other. Student support during football homecomings and both team success and failure build deep ties among students that make up the heart of the college community. Throughout both highschool and college sports have played a big part in inviting students, families and the community to bond and join together. 

After watching the Butler Community College Grizzlies lose to Cloud County Community College Thunderbirds in the first game (8-4), they were defeated 10-0 in the second game of the double header at Lee Doyen Field. The Thunderbirds showcased their depth on both sides of the ball, taking control early and never looking back. 

In high school, we learn math, biology, English, history and more. However, in everyday life, history is of no use, neither is biology, and even less so English and math. In a world where living in debt has become commonplace, it is necessary to educate teenagers, making them financially literate.

For the typical student, extracurricular activities will be just another burden besides classes, homework and tests. Others may view it as unnecessary distractions from academics. But in fact, extracurricular activities are as important as studies in creating well-balanced individuals and readying the students for the future.

For many Butler CC students, earning a degree or certificate was supposed to be a ticket to a stable career. But in today’s competitive and uncertain job market, even skilled graduates are finding it harder than ever to secure well-paying jobs—raising questions about how well the college prepares students for economic realities.  

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is dedicated to raising awareness and educating individuals and communities on how to prevent sexual violence. To mark this month, Butler will host the “What Were You Wearing” exhibit at the Andover campus throughout April.  

On Friday, March 14, the Grizzlies’ men’s basketball team lost in the semifinal of the NJCAA Region 6 tournament, eliminating them from further post season competition. The men’s team lost to the Cowley Tigers, ending 54-58.
