Tamara Daniel has been selected to become Butler's next president. She will officially be in office on Monday, June 23. Dr. Daniel comes to Butler with more than 25 years of leadership experience in the community college sector where, as a champion of student success, workforce development and institutional innovation, she has continuously pushed for improvement.
The Lantern newspaper and The Grizzly Magazine return to Butler Community College with a total of 22 awards. In total, The Lantern earned 18 individual awards and also received second place in the Overall Kansas division among two-year colleges, and the magazine earned three individual awards.
For the typical student, extracurricular activities will be just another burden besides classes, homework and tests. Others may view it as unnecessary distractions from academics. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is dedicated to raising awareness and educating individuals and communities on how to prevent sexual violence. To mark this month, Butler will host the “What Were You Wearing” exhibit at the Andover campus throughout April.
