April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is dedicated to raising awareness and educating individuals and communities on how to prevent sexual violence. To mark this month, Butler will host the “What Were You Wearing” exhibit at the Andover campus throughout April.
Austin Marsden is a freshman at Butler CC studying psychology. Outside of college, he's been volunteering with the small county of Marion with their fire and rescue crew for the past six months. Before deciding to join the fire and rescue crew, Marsden wanted to join the U. S. Army.
Russell Branch is a 6’2 point guard from Barnwell, South Carolina. He started to play at a young age as he has a father who was involved with the sport, which made it easy for Branch to fall in love with playing.
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, Butler Community College hosted “A Celebration of the Arts” in honor of the Black History Month. The event featured a discussion with former Grizzly Aaron Profit and accomplished performer Injoy Fountain, as well as a dramatic monologue from Profit’s performance in The Agitators. Held at the El Dorado campus, the event aimed to highlight the importance of storytelling, perseverance and the impact of the arts in shaping history and culture.
