Butler Community College continued their impressive day and season with a commanding 18-4 win over Garden City Community College after a 22-3 win in the first game. The Grizzlies’ offense was on full display as they piled on 18 runs, thanks to a relentless attack that kept the Garden City defense on their heels throughout the game.

Last Thursday, Feb. 27, the Grizzlies softball team had an amazing day by defeating Labette Community College twice in a doubleheader at East Park in El Dorado. Butler dominated both games, securing an 11-4 win in the first and a 13-5 victory in the second. These performances provided ample teaching moments for both teams. Despite a solid showing from some of their hitters, Labette Community College couldn't keep up with the Grizzlies’ offensive firepower, whose hitters came out swinging, collecting 11 hits and scoring in nearly every inning.

For Butler CC standout Freshman Guard, Ashley Singhateh, basketball has been a lifelong journey—one that started all the way back in the fourth grade. Spurred on by her siblings and friends with whom she played while growing up, Singhateh quickly fell in love with the game. Now, as a vital contributor to BCC's squad, she is committed to making a lasting impact both on and off the court.
