Butler Community College continued their impressive day and season with a commanding 18-4 win over Garden City Community College after a 22-3 win in the first game. The Grizzlies’ offense was on full display as they piled on 18 runs, thanks to a relentless attack that kept the Garden City defense on their heels throughout the game.

On Friday, March 14, the Grizzlies’ men’s basketball team lost in the semifinal of the NJCAA Region 6 tournament, eliminating them from further post season competition. The men’s team lost to the Cowley Tigers, ending 54-58.

The Butler Community College Grizzlies flexed their offensive and defensive muscles in a dominant doubleheader sweep over Seward County Community College, winning 10-1 in the opener and 11-6 in the second game.

Russell Branch is a 6’2 point guard from Barnwell, South Carolina. He started to play at a young age as he has a father who was involved with the sport, which made it easy for Branch to fall in love with playing.

The Grizzlies were on a three-game losing streak against the Northeast Hawks, so this opposition against the Des Moines Area Community College was a must win. They had two games at the McDonald Stadium to close out the end of the month on Friday, Feb. 28.

Last Thursday, Feb. 27, the Grizzlies softball team had an amazing day by defeating Labette Community College twice in a doubleheader at East Park in El Dorado. Butler dominated both games, securing an 11-4 win in the first and a 13-5 victory in the second. These performances provided ample teaching moments for both teams. Despite a solid showing from some of their hitters, Labette Community College couldn't keep up with the Grizzlies’ offensive firepower, whose hitters came out swinging, collecting 11 hits and scoring in nearly every inning.

For Butler CC standout Freshman Guard, Ashley Singhateh, basketball has been a lifelong journey—one that started all the way back in the fourth grade. Spurred on by her siblings and friends with whom she played while growing up, Singhateh quickly fell in love with the game. Now, as a vital contributor to BCC's squad, she is committed to making a lasting impact both on and off the court.

The Butler Grizzlies had an amazing day, the women’s team continued their win streak 106-55 and the men’s team returnedto their winning ways by dominating the Independence Pirates on Saturday, Feb. 15 in a 118-63 blowout.

There was total domination by the Butler Grizzlies on Friday, Dec. 6 as they hosted the Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers at the Power Plant. The Grizzlies triumphed with a victory by a 29-point margin, 54-83.

The Grizzlies continued their good start to the season by having an amazing weekend, defeating the Pratt Community College Beavers 83-80, in a very difficult home game.
